History
Lighthouse Christian Center is located in beautiful, downtown Titusville, Pennsylvania, home of the first drilled oil well. Founded in 2003 by Pastor David M. Wells and his lovely wife Patty, they originated the church in Tionesta, Pa. Pastor Wells soon heard a word from the Lord to move to Titusville and preach the Kingdom and Year of the Lord.
LCC began its humble beginnings at Tionesta Church of God. From there it had a short stay at the Tionesta Fire Dept. Then on to Endeavor Community Center & then finally our own place, the former East Hickory Methodist Church, which our small congregation painted, insulated & cleaned, along with new curtains made, we had a beautiful church. Many were saved during our time there and many filled with the Holy Spirit.
And then, a word of prophecy from Bishop John R. Stout. We began a search for a home in Titusville. A lovely building was found at 111 West Spring Street, a storefront that had been vacant for three years. With a unanimous feeling the lease was signed. But the city said a church wasn't permitted downtown because of zoning rules. While the church turned this over to legal counsel, Bernie and Linda Matteson offered the church a room in their former John Deere building on Rt. 27. We were currently having Thursday night Bible study at their business on Rt. 8. So we moved everything to this new location and waited.
Nine months later the Federal Court awarded us the right to be downtown. It was with great thankfulness that we had our first service in our new home on December 24, 2006. The church, often referred to as " The church of opportunity", has continued to grow and expand at this current location. After we reflect on the history, all we can say is, "Look What The Lord Has Done!".
Our Vision
Lighthouse Christian Center is based on God's word, HIS unconditional love and demonstration of HIS power and glory. Our current location is the sixth place God has lead us to.
One thing LCC is dependent upon is God's presence and glory. It is a place where our past is beneath the Blood, our present is based on the Word and the future is bright in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Our vision is to reach the lost, help the believer find and develop their gifts and be released into ministry, bringing them into God's purpose and destiny. Welcome to a caring, sharing, loving family where everyone is important and together we can glorify God.
We Believe
~ The Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritive written Word of God
~There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit
~ In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ , in his virgin birth, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal future return to this earth in power and glory
~ In the blessed hope of the second coming of Jesus Christ for the Church and to judge the world
~The only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious Blood of Christ
~Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation
~The redemptive work on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer
~The Baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it with the initial physical evidence of speaking in other tongues
~In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a holy life
~In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation, a real heaven and hell
~In water baptism by immersion for the new believer
